Born into a musical family in Philadelphia, PA, Jack Wine grew up with rhythm in his blood. His father and uncle were well-known drummers in the wedding and society music scenes—setting the tone for a lifelong passion for music and collaboration.
In the early 1980s, Jack studied Computer & Information Sciences at Temple University, where he began merging music with technology. A pioneer of MIDI integration, he brought innovation to the stage with a three-piece Santana tribute band, using electronic percussion to broaden the band’s sonic range.
Over the years, Jack has played with some of the Philadelphia area's finest musicians, contributing to projects like JAR Full of JAM and Spontageous, and performing with acts like The Uptown Band and Philadelphia Funk Authority.
From recording sessions and weddings to casinos and televised performances, Jack’s versatility spans genres—funk, jazz, soul, rock, R&B, and beyond.
Whether sitting in as a guest drummer or providing dynamic percussion support, Jack brings more than just skill—he offers deep musical sensitivity, professionalism, and an unwavering respect for every genre and player. Known for his supportive style, keen listening, and rock-solid dependability, Jack plays for the music—not for the spotlight.
Inspired and also trained by legends such as Dave Weckl and Gavin Harrison, and grounded in the groove passed down from his family, Jack continues to fuse passion, precision, and heart in every performance.
