Jack is available for sessions and live performances

Born into a musical family in Philadelphia, PA, Jack grew up with rhythm in his blood. His father and uncle were well-known drummers in the wedding and society music scenes—setting the tone for a lifelong passion for music and collaboration.
In 7th and 8th grade, Jack played drums at the Spring Festival with multiple choirs and accompanied Musical Director, Sherwood Johnson, on piano.
In High School, Jack played in Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Percussion Ensemble. During breaks, he was in the practice rooms learning piano.
Jack's father was a huge fan of big band music. He proudly took Jack to see Buddy Rich (3 times), Louis Bellson, Lionel Hampton, Harry James, and more. Meeting Buddy and sitting in the first table right in front of his bass drum made a lasting impression on Jack.
In the early 1980s, Jack studied Computer & Information Sciences at Temple University, where he began merging music with technology. A pioneer of MIDI integration, he brought innovation to the stage with a three-piece band, using electronic percussion to broaden the band’s sonic range.
Over the years, Jack worked as a full-time IT Consultant and business owner, but stayed active in the music scene and has played with some of the Philadelphia area's finest musicians, contributing to projects like Spontageous, and performing with acts like The Uptown Band and Philadelphia Funk Authority.
From recording sessions and weddings to casinos and televised performances, Jack’s versatility spans genres—funk, jazz, soul, rock, R&B, and beyond.
Whether sitting in as a guest drummer or providing dynamic percussion support, Jack brings more than just skill—he offers deep musical sensitivity, professionalism, and an unwavering respect for every genre and player. Known for his supportive style, keen listening, and rock-solid dependability, Jack plays for the music - not for the spotlight.
Retired from IT in 2025, Jack enjoys staying active with music education, being in the music community, and playing music for fun and fulfillment.
